I'm watching the second disc of the Rodney Dangerfield DVD boxed set and the first program is the 1986 HBO "It's Not Easy Being Me" special.

When they show Jerry Seinfeld in the intro he is smoking.

Everytime I watch it I'm really surprised because I would think Jerry Seinfeld is not a smoker. I know he may just be mugging for the camera. Anyone else seen this?

When I watched this a few nights ago I realized I was making a mistake thinking that Larry Miller was on this show but it's Jeff Altman.

There's also a sequence in one of the highlights shows with Jerry on set holding a cigarette in his hand. This has been discussed. Do an "archival" search!

Jerry was the second spitter, too. Roger McDowell got a bad rap.

Yeah, well, the "archive" reference was being sarcastic. Tryng to find something in an old thread on this site is like trying to smooth a silk sheet with a broad's....well, you know.

I think the consensus was that others had seen Jerry with a smoke in his hand but no one knew for sure if he smoked (given all of our personal, intimate knowledge of Jerry). In other words, I got nothing.

Jerry smokes cigars..... don't you remember?? He smokes the kind that are like smoking a chicken bone and smells like a rubber fire... Producto de Peru....
