Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon: Seinfeld Style

I was trying to think of a new topic we could all work our brains around contributing to, and this is pretty much the best I could come up with. I'm sure if you've never played Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon, you've at least heard of it. All you have to do is start with an actor or actress who has appeared on Seinfeld (doesn't have to be any of the stars, or even a recurring character for that matter, just anyone who's had a part on the show) and then connect that person with another actor or actress, and try to reach a link to Kevin Bacon in six moves or less. Obviously, we will have to cross mediums for this to work (ie: go from television to film), though I'm sure if someone looks hard enough, they could make Bacon (now, now) just in the world of TV. I'll start it off with an example.

Neil Flynn appeared in "The Summer of George" as one of the less-than-helpful police officers Elaine turned to in order to get stalker Molly Shannon off her back.

Neil Flynn plays The Janitor in 'Scrubs,' in which Michael J. Fox guest-starred a couple of times.

Michael J. Fox starred in 'Casualties of War,' alongside Sean Penn.

Sean Penn co-starred with Kevin Bacon in last year's 'Mystic River.'

So... Neil Flynn (1) to Michael J. Fox (2) to Sean Penn (3) to Kevin Bacon (4).

Four degrees of Kevin Bacon.

See? Easy peasy, lemon squeezie.

That's pretty cool. I've heard of that, but didn't know there was a game where it was specifically Kevin Bacon. Why Kevin Bacon?

i'm not sure i've ever heard exactly why it's kevin bacon, but my guess would be that kevin bacon sounds somewhat like separation, as in, "six degrees of separation."

This game was developed by three college friends who went to Albright College (Reading, PA). They first appeared on the Jon Stewart show on MTV (his old show--not the daily show). It is based on the theory that Kevin Bacon is the center of the entertainment universe, and that any actor or actress can be linked back to him, typically within six degrees (six connections) (variations on this game are based on the assumption that almost anyone in the world can be linked to anyone else in the world by six or seven degrees).

I wonder what came first, the game or the movie.

If George were on this thread, he'd be asking the waitress for some bacon about now.

As for Ren's post....Courtney Cox played Meryl on Seinfeld (Jerry's "wife") so you have even less degrees.
