I am not certain what you mean. What I recall was that early in the nineties when listening to Howard Stern or watching his tv show, about every five minutes he was plugging Snapple, he and his assistants would join in ecstatically praising the latest flavor they were tasting, how it was all natural, etc. I also remember from that time period that Howard was always on Jerry Seinfeld's case about something or another, mainly the Soshanna Lohnstein (?) business. I got the impression Howard was jealous. At any rate, I am 60 years old and my memory is subject to less specific certainty as to what was said. I should also mention that at the time Seinfeld originally aired I watched virtually no tv except news. I remember seeing a Rold Gold pretzel commercial with some short pudgy guy doing gymnastic flips and wondering who this guy was. I later realized it was Jason Alexander. I never watched Seinfeld when it was on, I have only ever watched it on reruns for about the last 4 years, it is hilarious. When I saw the episode where everyone was offered and refused the Snapple and canned laughter erupting each time someone refused it I figured it was a dig at Howard on tv. Howard had the live venue for his remarks, Jerry Seinfeld had national attention through his show.
