Some videos won't play anymore?

I've had the videos downloaded for a long time. I've watched everyone. But recently, some stopped working. I would open the file, and Windows Media Player will begin to freeze my computer with a repetitive buzz sound and frozen picture. After pressing Alt+F4 I can close Windows Media Player and the freezing goes away but I can't figure out what the problem is. I thought the problem lay in the fact that heat had finally gotten to my harddrive and had corrupted some of the files, but I recently re-downloaded almost all the episodes and some still can't play. I have downloaded all the necessary codecs (as I said I have watched them before) and I just downloaded the latest Divx with the same problem. Anyone encounter this?

I just tried using the Divx player and it is able to play the episodes fine. Very curious...

Try using BSplayer or Winamp to view the videos. BSplayer seems to play every video file I have encountered. You could also download the k-lite mega codec pack and install several different codecs.
