Stan, I have another theory about the genesis of the Sally Weaver plot in episode 169 (The Cartoon). Back in 1996 or 1997, I read a short piece in Harper's magazine about a one-man show a Latino comedian was doing that revolved around Seinfeld. Apparently, this comedian was asked by Jerry to appear on an episode that sounds a lot like The Pool Guy (no. 11
. Jerry wanted the comedian to use a Latino accent, the guy refused, and so Jerry asked him to leave and found another actor for the job. And so (naturally) the disgruntled comedian made up an act about how evil Jerry and the other Seinfeld regulars are. As I recall, the Harper's piece gave a pretty good excerpt from the comedian's act. What I wonder is whether his anti-Jerry act was the inspiration for SAlly Weaver's "Jerry Seinfeld Is the Devil" show. Have you ever heard anything like this? I'll have to see if I can locate a copy of the original Harper's piece.
