Why was the susan ross character killed off the show? Did the actress want out or was it a seinfeld decision? Why not just have susan and george breakup?

The actress wanted to do a PSA about licking envelopes. So many people were dying from it she felt she had to speak out.

You wanna know what happened to her? I'll tell you what happened to her. She was ticked off. About the peas. Yeah, that's right... about the peas. Thought she got a bad rap. So she packed it up and split for the coast. La-La Land. L.A.
