Seinfeld is not known for its "tender moments". On the rare occasions when they occur, they're effective because they feel natural and, well, they're RARE. My 3 favorites:

3. "The Deal" - Kramer's card to Elaine.
2. "The Label Maker" - Elaine talking to Tim Whatley about why she wanted to give him a gift.
1. "The Trip, Part 2" - At the end when Jerry gives Kramer the keys back.

I just had one little question about coming up with tender moments. I really wanna attack this thing. You know, sink my teeth into it. So I was just wondering--what would be the very best way to get started?

Hey Jimmy, check it out. (Bookman spins around in his swivel chair.) Three times around, no feet. All me. All me.

This is the worst subject I've seen yet!

Seinfeld was not not about Tender Moments, I think it was more about the bitting, stinging reality of life that is funny.

Maybe, ... I don't know ... nevermind!

My definition of a tender moment is when a woman's legs are pinned behind her ears like Bugs Bunny. Of course, with candles and soft music, as well...

You'll have to excuse Jimmy. He is frustrated having never become a sailor, to whom "Ankles Aweigh" and "All Ankles to the Headboard" have special meaning.

Also, it would seem that an IP is in order. Stan?! Smile

Seinfeld was not about Tender Moments >>

Exactly my point -- it doesn't throw mushy stuff around cheaply like a lot of other sitcoms. That's why the very few uncynical moments really stick out.

You're right that this is a pretty bad subject, but I'm sure I could think of a worse one if I really wanted.

No, that should be, "Who told you to think of a worse one? I didn't tell you to think of a worse one. Did I tell you to think of a worse one?"
