gs: Brian George (Babu Bhatt) Dawn Arnemann (Monica)
Jerry tries helping the owner of a small restaurant attract customers by giving him a suggestion. George must take an IQ test for his latest girlfriend, so Elaine helps him in "a caper" where she takes the test for him. Kramer tries to keep his mother's ex-boyfriend's jacket, because it helps him meet women; however the ex-boyfriend comes looking for it.

Why doesn't Elaine use the fire escape stairs to get out of the apartment? I remember Jerry telling Gino to in the "The Barber". Likewise, Kramer. |

One of George's greatest moments is watching him try to come up with an explanation for why the test is stained.
"Why didn't you use the door?!?"
"The door?.......why would i use the door. the window's right here." |

haha I agree with 'cousin jeffery' That part was hilarious.
Monica: What happened to the test?
George: What? I spilled some food on it.
Monica: Food? What food?
George: What are you talking about?
Monica: Where did you get food?
George: From my pocket.
Monica: What?
George: I uh, I had a sandwich in my pocket.
Monica: And coffee?
George: Yeah, had some coffee, yeah
Monica: Where did you get the coffee?
George: Where did I get the coffee? Where do think I got the coffee, from the grocery store.
Monica: How did you get there?
George: I walked.
Monica: How did you get out of the
apartment? I didn't see you leave.
George: I climbed out the window.
Monica: You climbed out the window
George: Of course.
...(into cousin jeffery's quote)
yeah that was a little longer than I thought it would be, but yeah just thougth I'd share.. |

On a Seinfeld scale of A (The Marine Biologist) to F (The Seinfeld Chronicles), I'd give The Cafe a C. But it's a must-see, or in Curly's case, a must-suffer-through episode. It's our first good look at "liar George." It sets up The Visa and helps set up Babu's appearance in The Finale. (You can do without it for The Pilot.) It's where we learn Elaine has a genius IQ. It's part of the Seinfeld canon. |

I just saw it again. That whole scene in the bedroom with the IQ test is weak.
The Stooges did more with weaker premises, but then again, I'm not going to see the Stooges tonight at the Fox Theater in Detroit, with orchestra pit seats. Stop by and say hi. |

What would be great, would be a restaurant that serves all three of the types of food they just mentioned. Youu know, the sort of restaurant they just helped put out of business. Thus the long looks. |
