Just so you know, Cheever's novel is entitled Falconer." No "The." Just Falconer.

Best episode ever!! The Ketchup scene, Finding Susan's dad had an affair wih John cheever(Situation comedy doesn't get any better than this?)Kramer going to the Cuban embassy for Cuban cigars! What a great idea. The dinner conversion is pure satire. Among so many other things........Final line of Final Scene is pure Gold Jerry, Gold! This has it all IMHO. LD was in Top form here.

I laughed so hard when George told Susan's father about the cabin burning down.

MR. ROSS: Oh, I forgot to ask you - how'd you like the cabin?

GEORGE: (Even more nervous than before) Oh, the, uh, the cabin.. well, (Clears throat)

Just how he says it, it's frickin hilarious.

One thing I noticed today is that the Costanzas are served cornish game hen at the Ross home in that hilarious scene in "The Rye" and, if you look closely, that that is the exact same dish served by the Ross's to George and Susan in "The Cheever Letters". I only realized it because Frank Costanza made such a big deal about who's having sex with the hen in the later episode.

Awesome episode! If anyone doubted the influence of Larry David on this series notice how Jason Alexander/George seem to channel his now familiar quirkiness in every scene. I didn't feel the same genius in the Kramer/Cuban cigar subplot,
