Jerry, Elaine and George stop for a quick Chinese dinner before a showing of Plan 9 From Outer Space on the big screen. However, while waiting a really long time to get a table, Jerry sees a woman whose name he can't recall; George needs to use a phone he can't have and Elaine needs food, more than those seated ahead of them.

NOTE: Viewer Danny Lee notes that Jerry mentions in this episode that he has a sister. I wonder what ever happened to her?

i dont exactly like this episode too much, but there is one part that is hilarious. jerry does not recognize the woman who works w/ his uncle, and when she comes over and jerry is speaking w/ her Elaine is hilarious. her facial expressions and body movement during the exchange between jerry and lorraine is sooo funny. watch it and you'll see what i mean. she doesnt say anything much, but just the expressions will crack you up.

Bruce's line, "I say you not here. She say curse word. I hang up," is worth the price of admission.

The "cartwright" part was the best.
George- She called, I missed her.
He yelled "Cartwright"
jerry- whose cartwright?
George-I'm cartwright
jerry- you're not cartwright
george(almost at the same time)-OF COURSE I'M NOT CARTWRGIHT

one of my favorite epsiodes, but not even a mention of kramer.
not even like, "kramer's not coming?"
"yeah, well, he had to.....

I like the part when Jerry says he will give Elaine 50$ if she walks over to a table and eat an eggroll.

Not only is this one of the few episodes where we dont see Jerry's apartment, I think it is the only episode shot in entirely in one set(if you dont count the dining room with the three couples).
Something me and friend were thinking about when we were talking about the last episode of seinfeld. Since the last episode involved a trial, we're thinking they could probable make murder cases against each one of the four, except for elaine. Jerry might have killed manya with the pony remark. George could hve killed susan with the invitations. In The Trip, Kramer mentions how his hands havent"been soaking in ivory liquid" Cant think of anything for elaine.

Does this one have any superman references?

Also this is one of my least favorite episodes as far as rewatchability. It just seems so slow-paced.

I have noticed that the stock street footage they use in the beginning of this episode to establish setting "The Hunan" is the same as used in the The Secret Code when Jerry and George meet Peterman at the Chinese restaurant.

George. We dine.

Doesn't Jerry meet Donna Chang at the Hunan as well? ("The Chinese Woman")

Elaine seems to have no luck with Chinese restaurants. She can't get served at the Hunan, she gets blacklisted at Hop Sing's ("The Race"), and China Panda won't deliver to her side of the street ("The Pothole").

...and Elaine also causes Ping to run his bike into a parked car as he is delivering chinese food to Jerry's in "The Virgin."

Elaine could be accused of murdering the phone company guy in the episode where she gets the new area code and doesn't like it. She picks up a candlestick and thinks to herself, "I wonder if I killed this guy would anyone know" or something like that. Later, he ends up disappearing according to the second phone guy. Just a thought...

Note: Jerry mentions having a sister in this episode, he also mentions having a nephew in "Male Unbonding" when he is making up excuses not to hang out with Joel. Also in this episode Jerry mentions making up and excuses not to have dinner with his uncle, is this uncle Leo? Not in any other episode do they mention where or if Leo works. In this episode Jerry's "uncle" has an office. Is it me or does anyone else crave Chinese food when watching this. This episode seems to always come on when I'm really hungry.

You are not the only one to get cravings for chinese food after watching this episode. After I saw it, I called my local chinese restaurant and had chicken noodle soup. Yum!!!!!!!!!! Very Happy
