I looked everywhere for Kung pow chicken after an episode mentioned it ..... nowhere in Perth (Western Australia) has it. Is it an actual dish or made up for the show. I think I heard a reference to it on Mad about you and Just Shoot me once aswel. |

I watched this episode on DVD today and the commentary finally explained where Kramer was this ep.
Larry David explained that it was part of the character that he (Kramer) be in the building all the time (true to Kenny Kramer) who Larry remarked spent 22 out of 24 hours a day there.
It wasn't until "the busboy" which we see Kramer out of the apartment which aired the week after this episode even though it was made well before. |

Did any one else notice Jerry says hes going to count George's shrimp? In one of the first curb your enthusiasm episodes, which also does with a chinese restaurant, Larry counts his shrimp and thinks someone stole it. |

I didn't like this episode very much. It doesn't have that genious plot interweaving that other episodes do. I dont see jerry's apartment, which i love and makes me fel comfortable, and no KRAMER! |

funny how in the DVD, there's a deleted scene where George talks about hurting his hamstring trying to kick out the sheets in his bed. Although it was cut out of this episode, the writer's liked this material so much they held onto it and used it in "The Limo". Then they used it again in "The Trip"! |

James Hong was in a few episodes of Bonanza. In fact the wife and i saw him in one the other night. The epiphany came when someone said "Ben?" "Ben Cartwright?" I howled! CARTWRIGHT! |

although this episode is a bit slow paced its groundbreaking in that it has no scene changes like they say on the 'inside look'...and jason alexander says this was the catalyst for all the mayhem that was to come which means its a great episode! |

To the guy who said maybe Kramer doesn't like chinese food...I know for a fact that he likes pea pods.
Also, wasn't this episode the only one to be filmed in real-time? |

I have two questions,
1) when Elaine goes up to the group of diners it appears she is actually thinking the conversation because her mouth never opens but on closer inspection you can see her neck muscles moving to idicate she is talking through clenched teeth. Why? She has her back to the others so they wouldn't know she was talking to the diners.
2) The owners have a brief conversation together about Jerry, George and Elaine. Any ideas what they might be saying. I think they delayed sitting them intentionally but can't think why. |

I attended a Chinese New Years Day parade in LA over the weekend, and James Hong was on one of the floats.
I yelled to him "You were great on Seinfeld" and he yelled back.. "Seinfeld... 4". Then, as he passed us, he yelled "Cartright, Cartright." Classic! |

Anyone else notice that when Elaine tells the people at the table about Jerry's offer and they can't seem to believe it, you can hear Larry David saying "What did she say?..........What did she say?" even though he wasn't sitting at the table? |

I am a Chinese, and I could not understand what James Hong talked in Chinese to another lady. Seems those words were just some make-up mumblings.
The cartwright part really made me laugh into tears |

Eric, is it possible they were using a different dialect. I know that people that speak Mandarin might not always understand Cantonese, etc...(I hope I got that right, excuse my ignorance if I didn't). |
