My interpretation: The cast and crew considered The Kiss Hello, and not the clip show, to be the 100th episode. To do this, they needed to employ George Bush's fuzzy math, but that's the only way it makes sense.

I've counted the episodes three times, in three different ways. And every time I count them...... Excuse me for a second..... (Sound of Bookman vomiting in the bathroom.) However I count them, The Kiss Hello isn't number 100.

Whatevuh. The clip show commemorated Seinfeld's having filmed 100 episodes. I can understand if the cast and crew didn't count it as part of the 100.

Upon further review, the episode guides that accompany the DVDs show The Pitch and The Ticket to originally have been a single, one-hour episode (as opposed to The Trip--a two-parter with each part airing on consecutive Thursdays; and The Boyfriend, The Pilot, and The Raincoats--each of which were two-parters with both parts shown back-to-back in 60-minute time slots.

Excluding the clip show, and counting each half-hour as a separate episode, The Kiss Hello would've been number 101. Counting The Pitch/The Ticket as a single episode makes The Kiss Hello the 100th. Maybe that's how these guys did their math.

According to Notes About Nothing, The Beard was filmed on Jan 18, and The Kiss Hello was filmed on Jan 10. That explains how The Kiss Hello actually was the 100th produced episode.

But it sure as hell doesn't explain why The Beard appears before The Kiss Hello on the DVD. Aren't those supposed to reflect production order?

The Kiss Hello couldn't air between The Scofflaw and The Beard. George got his rug in The Scofflaw, and he was still wearing it, and also quit wearing it, in The Beard. He had no rug in The Kiss Hello.

Yeah, now that you mention it I remember hearing or reading something about that.

What do you know, it was right there in the notes for The Scofflaw:
"The episodes on this DVD are put together in the order that the episodes were produced, unless continuity is interrupted.
For example, since 'The Scofflaw' is part one of a two-part 'toupee arc' part two, 'The Beard,' is next up even though 'The Kiss Hello' was actually the next episode produced."

Anyone who cares what date an episode was filmed, belongs in the DVD forum with the other nerds, and has probably never laughed in their entire life, anyway. Just watch the show and shut up.

And keep watching them, over and over again, until all your questions about "What episode was this in?" are answered. By then, you might also be able to tell me how to get into "Notes about Nothing." On. Off. Idon't get it.

Well, the no hugging rule is certainly in effect, isn't it.

I hate to break it to you Jimmy, but this IS the dvd forum. The question is, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be out on a ledge somewhere?

Look at that, I forgot to enter my name in the last post. But I'm sure I won't hear anything about that, what with the abundance of tolerance around here and all.

I don't know about that, but it's not 11:35 AM anymore, either.
