b: 17-Nov-94 pc: 607 w: Tom Gammill & Max Pross d: Andy Ackerman

NOTE: On 24 Nov 94, instead of an episode of Seinfeld being on, Jerry hosted a one hour special highlighting his two favorite comedians, Bud Abbott & Lou Costello. The special was called Abbott & Costello Meet Jerry Seinfeld.
The ending of this episode, with Kramer suffering a nosebleed and Jerry comforting him in the back of a bus, was a takeoff on the ending to the movie "Midnight Cowboy". The "Midnight Cowboy" theme was present throughout this episode, as Jon Voigt starred in the movie, Jerry wears cowboy boots during the episode, and the theme song from the movie, "Everybody's Talking at Me" is heard playing twice.

Does anybody know if "Artie Shaw, Honeysuckle Jump" actually exists? I love that riff they play and I want to hear the whole song! I've searched high and low, and I can't locate any recording of the song by Artie Shaw...please help me! I'm tired of sitting on the boardwalk waiting for an epiphany... Confused Sad

I posed this question to my mother, a huge Artie Shaw fan. She says that not only did Shaw not record that title but that she doesn't think the title exists, at all. She thinks it is a creation of joining Honeysuckle Rose and 1 O'Clock Jump - both songs performed originally by Count Basie.

Thanks, Jackie. I guess I have to file "Honeysuckle Jump" away with Hennigan's, Rochelle Rochelle, and the Label Baby Jr., huh? Wink

Does anyone if the song "Next Stop Pottersville" really exist. If so, who is responsible for the tune. I would love to get a copy of the tune.

Thanks a million!!

Very Happy

JERRY: With Jon Voight's teeth marks. Owner's manual...you know what? This car was owned by Jon Voight.

GEORGE: Ah! See? I told ya.

JERRY: Except Jon is spelled with an H. J-O-H-N.

GEORGE: So?

JERRY: Doesn't Jon Voight spell his name J-O-N?

GEORGE (pulls over): So, what are you saying?

JERRY: Nothing. I'm sure "Jon" probably mispelled his own name. I know sometimes I spell Jerry with a G...and an I!

GEORGE (angrily): Get out of the car!

Honeysuckle Jump and Next stop Pottersville were both made up tunes by the music coordinator of the show Jonathan Wolfe. You find that out on the DVD's Notes About Nothing - which now that I think of it, I can assume you own, and have read. Very Happy

How do Jerry & Kramer get to Jerry's apartment so fast from the party during the (probably short) time Woody Woodpecker is still running out of air?

Never mind, I guess the parade isn't broadcast live -- the commentary says Jerry & Kramer are watching "the next day".
