Why is the red dot on dvd shorter than other episodes? Is it sydicated episode? Red dot goes about 22 min other episodes got at least 23 min. Any commints?

Actually, they could've chopped off another minute or two when the cleaning lady goes on and on about when she was a little girl in Panama. Why did they make us sit through that... and why did they insert a laugh track there? That scene is why fast forward buttons were invented.

Yes!!! Annoying as hell. They could also get rid of any scene where Elaine is talking to herself, like on the subway. Even Julia is embarrassed by those. Justifiably.

She's quite the looker though, that cleaning woman. Smart too.

Really, Julia is embarrased by those? I think they're great. "I have to go to the bathroom"

Yeah, in the commentary on the DVD's, she keeps saying she can't stand it, and she keeps repeating that "this scene just doesn't work, etc...". They might not be as bad if they were shorter.

But if you notice in the commentaries, it seems Julia hates every scene where she performs alone. The Elaine thinking out loud scene doesn't bother Jimmy. Thought the holocaust reference was a good example of her high-strung, overreactive personality.

Always thought they captured well the situation one sometimes finds one's self when they want to shout at the top of their lungs but are restricted from doing so by the confines of social mores....................................

Yes Jimmy, she reminds me of some musicians I've worked with. Never happy with their own performance. Sometimes it's sincere, but sometimes it's annoying. Like someome's just trying to come off like the "perfectionist" ans is really only hoping for a compliment.

Was just watching the hour long pilot for CYE last night on the DVD. There's part of an interview where Jerry says that Larry always address his audiences as "you people," and while he's talking about him they switch to an old photo when Larry had the wild hair goin on. Jimmy fell off his chair imaging that guy looking that way, and standing in front of a crowd talking down to them as if they were nothing. Too funny. What a whack-job!

I will speak up and say YES!!! That is the reason people buy dvd's FOR UNCUT EPISODES!! Why am I going to pay good money for something I can watch on tv for free edited? Read reviews on amazon.com for the 'Cosby show'. People found out they are the syndicated episodes and are pissed off.

Totally agree with you. Was just being a smart-ass.

But maybe nothing was edited. Unless part of a scene (which never aired anyway) was cut during production. Nobody's going to extend a perfect scene and ruin it just to make sure it's exactly 23 minutes and consistant with others. Then again, unless someone can actually recall something originally aired on that episode that wasn't included on the DVD, we'll probably never be sure... or told about it.
