I think this is the first episode where Newman enters the screen. He is mentioned and his voice can be heard in earlier episodes, but he is never visible until this one.

I did not like this episode concerning the issue of suicide. Suicide is a serious and sensitive subject and laughing about that issue is not right. In the beginning, before the theme song Jerry is telling his jokes, he says he doesn't understand suicide and that instead of using one form of suicide u should just use a rope instead. I do not think that that is funny at all. Maybe instead of making fun of suicide they shoudl talk ab outt he seriousness of the issue and not make fun of it.

While, yes, it is serious, this is a sitcom we are talking about, not a PBS documentary.

hello seinfeld people,

It seems to me that Gina is Latina in real life her last name is Gallego. However my friend and I have a bet about her. He thinks she is doing a Russian accent I think it is latina. Any help?

Hey Alison...LIGHTEN UP!!! If you don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT!!! Instead why don't you go back to school and learn how to type and spell. I don't get while people try to save someone wanting to commit suicide. If they are that much of a nutt-job, then that's one less crazy person in the world, just as long as they don't take anyone in their right mind with them.

In this episode Jerry and Kramer's neighbor, Martin, goes into a coma. While Jerry, Kramer, Newman, Gina, and Elaine are in Martin's hospital room he wakes up from his coma. Now Kramer obviously knows that it's posible to come out of a coma since martin did it in front of him, but in "The Comeback" Kramer is watching the movie "The Other Side of Darkness" about a woman going into a coma. Once he see this he makes out a living will in case he is to ever slip into a coma making Elaine the executor. He later finds out that you can come out of a coma after watching the rest of the movie, but he should have known that from "The Suicide."

I think the episode where Jerry chases Newman in the building is The Soul Mate.

In this episode, Martin comes out of the coma when Kramer and Newman are sitting there. Then Newman tells Martin about Jerry and Martin's girl. I can't remember what episode (one of the last 3 seasons), but when Elaine and Kramer are renting videos from the rental store and Elaine takes "Vincent's picks", Kramer takes "Gene's picks" and rents "The other Side of Darkness" about a woman in a coma... he sets up a "will" where Elaine can "pull the plug". However, he finishes the movie and finds the woman awakes from her coma and feels great, so Kramer wants to change his will. He says to Jerry: "I didn't know it was possible to come out of a coma" and Jerry says: "I didnt know it was possible to NOT know that".
The error is, Kramer DID know it was possible, he was RIGHT THERE when Martin woke up.

Umm...If you're here to nit-pick about continuity issues, you're in the wrong place. Do you really think the writers didn't know this?

This ran last night...again...I enjoyed it all over again. Out loud laffs. I did, though, for the very first time hear that reference to George's. I always enjoy the Latin-accent reference Jerry makes of the Three Stooges.
See, great art is always new...

Is there anywhere that I can find the word for word transcript of the jokes made about Suicide at the beginning of this episode?
It was sooo funny, and I'd like to add it to the Seinfled Trivia App on Facebook.
