George's girlfriend is big on using the phrase "yada yada"; Jerry says at least she is succinct. Jerry's dentist just became Jewish and he is already making jokes that make Jerry uncomfortable. Kramer and Mickey double date but they can't decide which of the women is right for them. Elaine is a character reference for a couple who is trying to adopt; a story she tells during the interview destroys all hope of adoption. George drops by Jerry's dental appointment. Mickey and Kramer continue to fight over who gets Karen or Julie. George determines that his girlfriend might be leaving out some significant details with her overuse of the phrase "yada yada." He gets her to fill in the details and discovers more than he wants to know. Jerry confesses to a priest about what he thinks about Tim's conversion. George drops by Jerry's confession. Kramer decides on the right woman and Mickey also decides to make his a commitment. Tim hears about Jerry's dental joke. After hearing Jerry's complaints about Tim, Kramer accuses Jerry of being an "anti-dentite." Elaine lobbies on behalf of Beth and Arnie and makes a sacrifice to try getting them a child. Meanwhile, Beth comes to Jerry for help when her marriage is falling apart. It does and she accompanies Jerry to Mickey's wedding where she reveals an unknown side of her personality.

This is my favorite episode ever. I'm so happy when it comes out on DVD...

Elaine- I went out with this lawyer once. We went to dinner, I had the lobster bisque, yada, yada, yada. I never saw him again.

Jerry- But you yada, yada'd over the best part.

Elaine- No, I mentioned the bisque.

That and when George says something I can't exactly remember. " She went shopping ( for something) yada, yada, yada, I'll see her in 6 to eight months.

Great when George uses the yada yada for the first time:
George: Well, we were engaged to be married, uh, we bought the wedding invitations, and, uh, yada yada yada, I'm still single.
Marcy: So what's she doing now?
George: Yada.

We can do this the hard way, or we can do it the fun way.

Question is, which was which?

Jerry to Priest: I wanted to talk to you about Dr. Whatley. I have a suspicion that he's converted to Judaism just for the jokes.

Priest: And this offends you as a Jewish person.

Priest: No, it offends me as a comedian.

I never understood how they thought the 2 girls Kramer and Mickey met (Julie and Karen) were twins. They didn't even look anything alike. Honestly they could have used the "TV Elaine" from the Pilot episode to play Julie and she would have been a more likely twin of Karens.

I don't recall a reference to them being twins ?!?!?

No twins!

One more vote for the no twins comments.

Oh, and also, the idea of brining in Robert Wagner and Stephanie Powers as Mickey's parents is brilliant! What a coup!

It's not Stephanie Powers that played Mickey's mother, it's Jill St. John, acccording to this guide.

One thing that always bothered me in this episode was after Kramer and Mickey do their fashion show for Elaine. The mention they just picked up two women at the Gap. Immediately Elaine comes back with "how did you decide which one of you would date which girl." It sounds like somthing was cut from the scene.
Anyone else notice this?

This episode had the best ending of any Seinfeld episode, and that's saying a lot:

Beth - "Dentists...who needs them?"

Jerry - "Yeah!"

Beth - "Along with the Blacks and the Jews."

(Freeze frame on Jerry with a shocked look on his face)
