Editorial Review:

Description:
This exciting half-hour western series debuted on ABC in September of 1956 and ran until August of 1958. Scott Forbes filled the starring role of Jim Bowie, the nineteenth-century American adventurer who invented the knife that bears his name. One of the early TV shows to catch flack for its frequent use of 'the knife,' led to a cutback in screen violence as the series progressed. Though Scott Forbes (British by birth) was the only regular on the show, he did not appear in every episode but was supported by a strong revolving cast of guest stars. This classic western series contains 13 complete episodes on 2 dual-layer DVDs including: The Pearl and Crown, Convoy of Gold, Jackson Assassination, Gone to Texas, The Select Females, The Outlaw Kingdom, Monsieur Francois, Jim Bowie Comes Home, The Secessionists, The Land Jumpers, The Squatter, Adventure with Audobo and Trapline. Bonus Features: Episode Selection| Previews| Actor Bios Specs: 2-DVD9s; Dolby Digital Mono; 300 minutes; B&W; 1.33:1 Aspect Ratio; MPAA - NR; Year - 1956-58; SRP - $14.99.
