Editorial Review:
Amazon.com:
Duane 'Dog' Chapman's exploits as a bail-jumper's nightmare in Hawaii continue in the tense, colorful episodes on Dog the Bounty Hunter: The Best of Season 2. With brother Tim, son Leland, and wife Beth at his side, Dog takes down, among others, an abuser who goes running when he suspects a ruse to give him a free vacuum cleaner is just a way to get him out of the house; a heroin addict who skips bail into a rat hole of drugs and squalor; and a stalker threatening his ex-girlfriend with a hunting rifle. One episode, 'Dog II: Son of Dog,' features an all-out (though unseen) brawl inside a house where a fugitive's brothers descend on Dog and his posse while Beth gets into a shouting match with the bad guy's spitting-mad mother. As with The Best of Season 1, Season 2 is also very much about family. While that includes Tim, Leland, and Dog's immediate happy home with Beth and their brood of blonde little ones, it also involves his reunion with daughter Lyssa after six years (Lyssa is immediately pressed into bounty hunter service and proves to have a good instinct for the job), and the return of oldest son Duane Jr., a very likable fellow, into the family business. --Tom Keogh
