Multiple plot lines split off as the third season of Full Metal Panic! continues. The mercenary corps Mithril faces internecine quarrels as its leaders cope with a double agent. Melissa and Kurz go into action for the first time this season, with some help from Sousuke--although it keeps him from studying for midterms. Sousuke and Kaname get a rare, intimate moment when she gives him a much-needed haircut (after he nearly shoots up a salon). Mithril orders Sousuke to abandon the mission to protect Kaname: the sinister-sounding Wraith will assume that duty and Sousuke will return to piloting the super-mecha Arbalest. For the first time in his life, Sousuke is torn between obeying orders and genuine emotions. Kaname panics after passing one of the Chinese assassin sisters in the street, then discovers Sousuke has disappeared. The extras include more footage of location-scouting in Hong Kong and commentaries from some of the Japanese voice actors.
