or bugs anyway. I'm no computer expert, but i've noticed that when i brought up the old thread called "Seinfeld Party", it kind of erased the newer thread of the same name. Now clicking on either thread will take you to the same place.

can i get my name in blue again, please? It makes me feel important. Like it stands for something.

Didn't the scientists agree to alternate between men's and woman's names to identify hurricanes? They had Katrina and now Ophelia? What's that about?

Maybe two threads on the same page can't have the same name... possibly to clean up multiple post by people who can't wait five minutes for their thread to show up? ... don't know.

Oh, I see, they do have the same name. That's strange. I know html, but not forum mumbo jumbo.

cj, there have been three others in between katrina and ophelia.

the L hurricane (boy), the M(girl), and the N (boy).

forget their names, though.

As Winston Churchill said:

"Why wait when you can post a reply to your own thread to make it appear right away instead of five minutes later?"

I'm told the Japanese number theirs. Why don't we do that? We can't remember if Sophie was before or after Wilber. You see? Jeffrey wouldn't have had to ask how we went from 47 to 51. And you wouldn't have had to tell him there was a 48, 49, and 50 between them.

That's why they'll own this country (U.S) someday without firing a shot. They're one of the Big Three now! Do any of you Jap car owners know that? Whitey sucks. Kill whitey! Oooh wait, that's me! Embarassed

Don't you see, you guys use names to give the hurricane some sort of personality to make it a better story on television. It seems to the average viewer that Hurricane Betsy is somehow aware of what it's doing and that it's aiming for a certain region or it's evil, as compared to Hurricane # 36 which doesn't sound all that interesting. They want to give each hurricane a different name, to make it seem like it's a different person to make it seem that it's not just a natural occurence. All to get ratings, all to get money.

Well then, when they said Winston Churchill was ahead of his time, they weren't kidding. Shocked

Don't say "you guys." Just because I was born here by some cruel twist of fate, doesn't mean that I'm one of the 6 billion stupid Americans living here.

Rife, ripe. Next thing you'll tell me is that James Caan doesn't offer happiness, he opts for happiness. Good luck with that.......... Are we done talking about the sorry state of those transcripts?

It says ripe in the script? Not surprising. I just thought it was the foolish way that those guys talk.

Not to beat a dead horse (or any other dead animal) but what else do we really do here but beat dead horses...

Grammatically, ripe with flees does not make any sense. Rife with fleas however does make sense. Comments/Questions? No? Good.

wh...what's going on here? how long have i been asleep?

i think ramon is a good name for a hurricane.

i would cheer for it. alright! another trailor park taken down by hurricane Ramon! Hurricane Ramon... taking out the trash.

i saw a comedian do a good bit about this guy being interviewed down in florida. he had a giant house built on the beach. he's talking to the reporter (and the camera). "i can't believe that a hurricane wiped out my entire house.... just like last year... and three years ago" good stuff. good stuff.

get a clue people. don't build huge cities hundreds of feet below sea level, and then be surprised when years later, the whole place floods. Rolling Eyes

and similarly, don't ask for my pity when you build a mansion on a beach that gets hit with giant hurricanes four or five times a year. Rolling Eyes

it's pronounced 'thermometer'

"taking out the trash" (?)

In the immortal words of Frank, "What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
