Is there anyone selling the complete set of Seinfeld in HQ Divx format? I rather pay and then download them as it'll take weeks to complete them.

Look to your right. (Ads) All 9 seasons on DVD for about $250. They're unoffical, I emailed them to verify even though I knew.

Well in order to keep down disc amount you'd want them burned as data onto a DVD.

No, VCDs are good quality but it is lower than the HQ Divx downloads, so I need HQ Divx.

Hey i want all 180 episodes. But not VCD's or DivX, they aren't good enough for me. I want them on the original filmstrip that they were recorded on. Yea VCD is good, and DivX is better, but i want the originals, becuase those other types aren't up to my standards. Wait, that isn't enough either, i want Jerry, Julia, Jason and Micheal to come to my house, and perform every single episode just as the originals were performed. While your at it, give me a sip of reality and a swift kick in the nuts. Keep Dreamin'

There should be a lot of people who has the whole 180 eps in HQ Divx since it's offered for free downloads. Anyone who has them can email me to sell.

just for your information Robert, vcd is about is good as it gets. Considering that all Divx is, is a different codec for encoding the media. The only thing that really makes DivX better is the fact that it can offer lower filesizes. I can shoot a home movie with a 320X200 Res camera, and encode it using DivX and VCD both and they will look exactly the same. Also, as you said yourself, they are offered as free downloads, so go ahead, download them. Is your time any more valuable than any of ours? It's Seinfeld for site-sake, it is worth every moment that it takes. I am beginning to think two things...... either you aren't as big of a seinfeld fan as you would let on -- seeing as how you won't 'waste' the time to download them. Or two.... you are working for some kind of law-entrapment agency, looking to bust someone mailing you seinfeld episodes for cash. This site is for the memory and reflection upon the greatest sitcom ever: Seinfeld. Don't come here and waste our time so you can save some of yours..... Bah!

OK after the great analysis from the Paranoia Agent. It would great to those people who have complete the downloads to sell them to me on DVD-R. I'll pay a good price for them. I'm not a Seinfeld fanatic but I like his work. And Divx is much higher quality than VCD.

I've got all of them that i can download off this site. I have 1-4 and 7-9. 5 and 6 aren't available. I was downloading season 5 HQ and it was 98% downloaded when my dog chewed through my ethernet cable. The next morning i went and got another and went back to stanthecaddy and it was no longer available. Needless to say i'm pissy about it. Tt has taken me a very long time, especially w/ having to stop downloading for a game and resume again, to get what i have. So, take ur sweet time and download it urself. It's much cheaper. Trust me, if u get it for free you will enjoy them more. If you pay, you'll get it and be like DAMN, this was not worth $250. Especially if ur not a true fan.

Billy you're rigth about the donwloading as long as it takes and as a great fan of Seinfeld, Im so happy I can at least get them.

Anyway ... with all do respect ... how the hell could you say VCD quality is the same with DivX quality !! Yes is a diffrent codec but you have no ideea what are you talking about and now Im too lasy to explain about encoders and resolutions ... but try converting a normal DivX 5 movie to a VCD and you will see what is all about. Not even SVCD quality isn't the same with DivX which is way better that VCD, not to mention that DivX supports 5.1 sound and VCD only 2 channels.

Cheers and do your homework Smile

The quality of DivX depends on the resolution and the bitrate it is encoded at. VCD and SVCD are formats, not codecs. They have fixed resolution and bitrates. That said, a DivX file can be lower quality than a VCD. It all depends on the resolution and bitrate. As for 5.1 sound... DivX doesn't deal with sound, that is handled by a different codec (AC3, MP3, OGG).

Mario, you are correct, and i miss represented what i really meant. I understand that Divx can offer much MUCH higher quality than VCD, however, if you take the HQ eps that are available on this site, and reencode them using divx, even if you select the 4000 kbps (DivX Maximum) bitrate, you will not achieve greater quality. If you record something at Broadcast quality, then encode it with VCD and DivX, the DivX files will of course be pf greater quality. Lets face it though, the tools used to rip Seinfeld from the TV are not usually broadcast quality. One episode in broadcast quality, un-encoded AVi format is upwards of 3 GBs, before the commercials are removed. That is a larger than most people are willing to allocate to any one file, regardless of it's content (myself not included as i am a huge seinfeld fan, and have personally ripped, de-commercialized, and stored all of seasons 3-9 by myself.) In my post i was actually only trying to bash a moron for asking for a handout. Having all of the episodes isn't a leisure thing. It takes work... work that he didn't want to do.

In closing, I would like to say that you are correct in the domain of my first post, however i completly miss-represented my thoughts. Thank you for pointing out the error in my ways.

Maybe the guy can only get dialup and it would take him months of 24/7 using his connection to get all the high-quality episodes???

I have dialup and only 1 phone line and there is no way I could get all the high quality episodes. I have to go to school to download them and even then it takes a while, and I can only do it for 2 or 3 hours per day so its taking a long time to get them.

Anyway, BillyJoneston is there any way I could get seasons 5 and 6 from you...I'd be willing to pay for your work, shoot me an e-mail at yanguboris@hotmail.com
