Hi,
I was wondering if there are any episodes that show George in his youth, neurotic as ever, just as he is now?

Please send replies to scollon@uiuc.edu.

Thanks,
Christie

In The Library Read the script of The Library Download the full epiosde video of The Library Discuss The Library there is footage of Jerry and George in high school. George is in the locker room and is being harassed by other students and the gym teacher about his underwear showing above his gym shorts. The guys proceed to give him a wedgie. This is an excellent early episode. Love that library cop.

You'll actually notice that in earlier episodes "George" starts out as an arrogant real estate broker whom Jerry comes to for dating advice!

I don't know, I guess the Seinfeld writers finally realized that role just didn't fit him...Kramer, too...he started out more butch, and later was more of a cartoon character, with his lobster shirts and all.

Characters evolve over time. I do a comic strip and all the characters are completely different from when I first started out.

Lots of the Seinfeld characters changed. Remember when Neuman was suicidal?

i think the relationship between george and elaine is interesting....in the early episodes they are actually quite close (through jerry) and fond of each other, but in the later series the tension between them gets greater until most of their dialogue is having a go at each other...i quite enjoyed their early friendship (for example in the tape they are quite close, even if it is just because george is infatuated with her Smile )

Also George says in The Dealership that in high school they'd stuff in his locker because of his french car. "Bonjour le George. Stuff le George in le locker"
