What do you think of

What do you think of this bit :

What's with the katholics ? Did you ever notice they still have jesus on the cross. Don't you think that's strange ? They got beatifull statues of Mozes and Maria, but they let jezus hang on his cross.

What if God reincarnated Jezus, in order to take a look. God will say to Jesus: Go see what you began. Go to the church.

Jesus enters the church, sees Mozes, "Hey mozes , you lookin great. "Hello Maria, how are you ? ". And then he see's himself.
He'd problaby believe it's a faith against him.

If we hang Adolf Hitler on a cross, would we believe in him. and in what he said.

I like it, but maybe the Adolf Hitler isn't a good example.

I think what Ro wants to say is , that if we hang someone on a cross, it's not because we like him so much. No man on this earth liked Adolf Hitler.
And Jesus is the only one , who does not have a beautiful statue.

I must say it could be Seinfeld material.
Are you a comedian ? or did you just wrote this because you came up with it ?

Not offending to me, but not funny, either...

Anyone remember the gay blade (Damon Wayans) on the old "In Living Color" shows?

Hate it! Smile

Plus, at the risk of being overly serious, the premise sucks on its face. First, it is the whole of Christianity (not just (C)Katholics) who worship the symbolization of the Crucifix. Indeed, that symbolism is meant to remind one of the sacrifices Je(s)zus made for his followers and at the hands of those non-believers who did the deed of crucifixion. Obviously, Christian or not, it cannot be denied that it is a powerful image that has endured. In that sense, would not Jesus have been pleased to see that he was remembered for who he himself said he was and what was his mission - the son of God sent to die for the sins of others on the cross. Or maybe I missed something else funny in this routine. Wink But then I’ve never seen a full frontal of Maria (?), either.

That was just god awful.

The only thing that was remotely creative was the point about it being a faith against him.

I'm not religeous either, so i couldn't give a rat's ass who you offend, but I actually thought you were making fun of Banya or Kramer when he tried to do a stand-up bit. I thought you were deliberately being NOT funny, because there is nothing funny about that "bit". It actually makes no sense at all, and if I cared, I'd actually explain why. But i don't so I won't bother.

Ro, while I do think that would make a good topic for a religious studies term paper, the subject material might be a little too heavy for a comedy bit.

"No man on this earth liked Adolf Hitler."

Dan, you should watch the History Channel or read a history book someday. Millions liked Hitler... tha'ts why they allowed him to come to power, just as naive idiots like Bush NOW.
