It's "If I were A Rich Man" from Fiddler On The Roof... a jewish song

It's amazing how they would slip in those little things, that's how they're different from any other sitcom. Any joke that might go over the audiences head is too scary for any other sitcom, because they don't have enough material to try that.

Maybe, just maybe... Larry started those kinds of jokes to make the show fail, allowing him to finally be able to relax.

Larry David whistles a Wagner song in front of a jewish guy in Curb your Enthusiasm. Wagner was a big antisemite and he was Hitler's favorite composer.

Good thing the guy who catches David whistling that tune explains the whole thing.

If you've got the season 4 DVD go back for a look at The Trip Pt. 2. When Kramer is arrested as the Smog Strangler both Larry David and Larry Charles are in the crowd at his door. Larry David has a perfect goofy look on his face.

Passes opportunity to someone else, a la George giving up initial "God bless you" opportunity.

Helena is along for the arrest, too! An odd choice for a Seinfeld.

Harry, we didn't notice this the first time around, either, but when my son saw Larry Charles' mug he about fell off the sofa laughing!

We like this pair of episodes.

BTW, ANNE LANDERS SUCKS!

Ha Ha, Anne Landers sucks. You know he's Ron Howard's brother.

Yea, he was Leon the peanut butter sandwich eater on a couple of Andy epidoses. too. And the little alien dude on the original Star Trek.

in The Trip 2, a great scene is right after Kramer is arrested, and he is being walked to the police station in a crowd of people, reporters, and flashing cameras....

he is kind of walking sideways, and he looks to be intermittantly smiling! great. then he says something like "i don't know..."

hilarious. not to mention the whole interogation scene... that one has me in stitches every time.

'i swear. i swear to god!'

In The Slicer, after Kramer tries to get the meat slicer from Elaine, he keeps pulling on the door knob until it comes off and he flys across the hall into another man's apartment. The man yells at kramer and kramer says "Whoa, that's alot of potatos!" What is the joke there?

Re-watch The Slicer Read the script of The Slicer Download the full epiosde video of The Slicer Discuss The Slicer and see where earlier comments are made about Elaine's entire building having the odor of potatos (or is that potatoes?).
