Mine is Peterman. I find him really unfunny. It's really annoying when he slips into stupid catalogue rhetoric. And he's really pompous too. His unfunniness annoys me cos I love everything else about the show... The one good thing he does is show up how funny Jullia LD is. I think the only (midly) funny bit with him is when Elaine is interviewing him for his autobiography and he's in his sweats flicking through the cable channels. That's good script-writing more than good characterisation. Anyway, who do you think the show could have done without?

Sally Weaver. 'Nuff said.

I like Peterman, mostly for the reasons you cite that you don't like him. He played the part to a "T".

Costanza! I love to hate him. He's just so sleazy and so "careful with money". And yet somehow gets so many dates with beautiful women??

But the show clearly could not have "done without him". He is a perfect accessory but I hate him.

Peterman, I love! "Oh, damn. I forgot to buy plant food again.. I'll bet I got a coupon for it."

No one.

I like them all. Because I think all the characters fulfill their purpose in the stories.

The mother of the bubble boy is kind of annoying... other than that, I like everyone who's ever appeared on the show.

(hmmm... I'm sure I'll come to regret that statement)

i agree that sally weaver was the worst. maybe it would have been better if she wasn't played by kathy griffin. she is the most annoying, unfunny person ever to be on tv. now peterman i like, he was funny.

I have to second (or is that third) Sally Weaver, but like Serenity Now says, it might be because I can't stand that talentless actress. Maybe someone else playing that role would have made it funny, not just annoying.

Agreed on Weavah. The part, itself, would probably have been good (the story line was fine) if played by someone other Griffin. Who do you suppose she slept with and was he/she thoroughly scrubbed and inoculated afterward?

I gotta tell you, FDR was disturbing to me, but I didn't dislike him! Embarassed

Maybe that man who stabbed Elaine's foot with his cane, saying "sorry" in a snooty voice as he walked away... ooh, I hate that guy!

I find her too unattractive to have slept her way into show business. My vote is blackmail. She must have had naked pictures of someone's family.

Fragile Frankie, and Bette Midler. Peterman rocked, especially with his prized piece of historic cake.

There are a few characters that bother me (the first being the massuse Jerry dated, she was such a :ahem Smile . But other than that I felt that even if a singular character bothered me, they all worked together well. Like Sally Weaver. Alone she's extremely annoying. But that's her part, even Jerry hates her...

sally never really bothered me at all. neither does griffin, for that matter. i don't find her hilarious, but i'm not repulsed by her, either.

can't say i care much for mr. pitt, or dan, the high-talker.

speaking of which, how could anyone NOT like aaron, the close-talker? judge reinhold was my favourite of all the talkers!

I kind of amuses me that different people have different least favorite characters. Personally, I find Sally Weaver extremely annoying, but I think that's what they meant for her and I think it worked great.

Anyway, I still haven't answered the original question. I think my least favorite character might be the busboy. But, like Moops said, I'm also sure I'll come to regret that statement! Laughing

the busboy is an annoying little worm. he's also the titular (i love that word) character of, imo, the worst episode of seinfeld ever made.
