Why do you (humorously or seriousaly) reckon Jerry wore his pants so high
(be it the jeans or trousers he wore
and / or his underwear) in the Seinfeld series ?

With all of George's lying, Kramer's schemes, and Elaine's man-of-the-minute stories, it got pretty deep in that apartment!

The style back then? It's still the style, for normal people.... unless your some freakshow skateboarding punk who goes to school with guns and shoots their fellow class mates while listenng to getto trash on their iPod.

Maybe some people who wear hip-huggers are punks who carry guns and listen to ghetto music, Jimmy. But, not all of us. Wink

The style has changed since the show. Jeans pulled all the way up to your bellybutton aren't for everyone. Including this perfectly normal person.

I could wear hip-huggers. My buttocks are sublime. But I'm going to wait till after I've had my wiener pierced.

Better watch that fat wallet, it'll ruin one buttock or the other.

Hey....I didn't give myself that subtitle. It comes up on it's own, Jackie.

All of the jeans sold in civilized stores today are the exact same ones Jerry wore (Levi). Sorry, but they never came anywhere near the belly button, and still don't.

The person who asked the question probably has three of his friends inside of his pants with him dragging around on the ground.

he did dress kind of weird. Tight pants, puffy button down shirt(not just the puffy shirt, his other shirts were puffy too) tucked in, white sneakers. I dont see a lot of people wearing that stuf. I see a lot more people dressing like George.

It was the tuck that caused the problem. The tuck with jeans...not a good look. And some of the early seasons have Jerry in some pretty tight denim.

He wears the pants so high so everyone can see that they are size 31 (even though they are actually a 32)
