No, it has nothing to do with being racist...He's mocking the guy for trying to sound "Latin" and doing it with an American accent. If anything, he's probably South American (not the real Soup Nazi, I think he's Mid-Eastern) and doesn't like the fact that the guy that said "Por favor" is trying to patronize him.

I don't know..his accent suggests he's depicted as middle eastern(Yev Qasim sounds middle eastern too).

But I could buy the fact that he goes ballistic on the guy for being a phony, and trying to patronize him thinking he's South American/hispanic.

Well, like I said, the real Soup Nazi IS Mid-Eastern, but I might be wrong about the "character" in the show being Latin, I was just assuming...But I think it's safe to say that his anger was about the other dude sounding like a phony, like you also said.

Newman does note that the Soup Nazi is moving to Argentina after he goes out of business so one could assume that he is from there. Of course assumptions can lead to....

Weird, wild, unfounded. The reason that the soup nazi refused to serve the "por Favor" guy is because it didn't fit his strict ordering system. He's a culinary genius he doesn't have time to exchange spanish pleasantries with random people.

I think Whitey Fisk hit it on the dot. He could have been speaking any language. But the soup Nazi's ordering system is in English! Exclamation point.

LEMOI..Soup Nazi definitely gave Elaine much more rope than 'Por Favor' guy, before pulling the plug on her. It's not just about the culinary genius' strict rules..He's also moody, as further evidenced by the question a guy in the line asks,"How's he feeling today?"
