What did you think of The Finale?  The final Seinfeld episode was one of the most anticipated series finales of all time.  And whenever there is a lot of hype, its often difficult to live up to such expectations.  From the people that I have talked to, you either loved it, or you hated it.  My contention is that true Seinfeld fans should have loved it.  Those who truly understand the show realize that it was the perfect way to summarize what the show was about.  Larry David, co-creator of Seinfeld, did not write for the show for the latter seasons.  But he returned to write the finale, and the result was pure genius.  How do you end a show about nothing, a show in which the characters learn no lessons?  David's solution was to highlight, perhaps for the first time, the "no hugging, no lessons" approach to the characters. More on this in my next post...
